The Settings > General > Administrator Access page allows you to set up additional admin user accounts to your Shift4Shop Online Store Manager (as allotted by your plan limits). When creating individual user accounts, you have the ability to set permissions to each user.
The following is a list of the permissions available and the specific access areas they will control.
Billing
Billing Information:
Allows the user to access the account's Billing area (at the bottom of the left-hand navigation menu) to review account info, upgrade/downgrade and view invoices.
Customers
Add:
Allows the user to add new customer records
(Must also be used with the Edit permission.)
View:
Allows Customers > Customer List to be viewed.
Individual customer records can also be opened and viewed.
Edit:
This permission will allow the user to edit customer records
(Must also be turned on to use the Add permission.)
Delete:
Allows the user to delete customer records.
Groups:
Allows the user to access Customers > Manage Groups.
Customer Pricing groups can then be viewed, added, deleted, etc.
Export:
Allows the user to access the Customer Export/Import section.
Import:
This permission is a legacy permission and no longer active.
(Use Export instead)
CRM:
Allows the user to access Customers > Customer Relations.
CRM tickets can then be viewed, edited, deleted, etc.
Affiliates:
This will allow the user to access Customers > Affiliates to view your store's affiliates.
They will also be able to access the Affiliate function found in Modules
Store Credit:
This checkbox will allow the user access to the Store Credit tab in individual customer records.
(Note: They will still be able to access the Store Credit Module and Email Template if this checkbox in unmarked.)
Design
Themes:
Will give the user access to the Settings > Designs > Themes & Styles page.
Header and Footer:
Will allow the user to go to Settings > Design > Header & Footer Page.
(Also access via Content > Site Content.)
Emails:
This will allow the user to access Settings > Design > Emails
Titles and Content:
This will allow the user to access Settings > Design > Titles & Content
(also via Content > Site Content)
Site Content:
This will allow the user to access Content > Site Content
Store Language:
Allows the user to access the Store Language page found under Content > Site Content.
(also via Settings > Design > Themes & Styles | More button.)
Error Messages:
Allows the user to access the System Messages page found under Settings > Design > Themes & Styles | More button.
Close Store:
This will allow the user to access the Settings > Design > Store Status page.
File Manager:
This will allow the user to access the Products > Images page as well as the File Manager in General.
Admin Design Bar:
This access permission will give the user access to the Shift4Shop Tools button.
General
Store Settings:
Allows the user to access the Settings > General > Store Settings page
Administrator Access:
Allows the user to access the Settings > >General > Administrator Access page.
If unchecked, the user will still be able to access this page, but only to set up their own 2-way authentication methods.
Additional Information
If marked, this permission will override all of the admin access permissions as if the user had full access.
Distributors:
Allows the user to access the Settings > General > Distributors page
Manufacturers:
Allows the user to access the Settings > General Manufacturers page
Checkout Questions:
Allows the user to access the Settings > General > Checkout Questions page
API Settings:
Allows the user to access the API apps and settings in the Modules page
Support Tickets:
This checkbox will allow the user to open and review Support Tickets from the Online Store Manager.
Mailing List
Add:
Allows the user to add Newsletters as well as email addresses to either the Mailing List or Mailing Blacklist
View:
Allows the user to access the Marketing > Autoresponders & Marketing > Newsletters sections
Delete:
Allows the user to delete Newsletters as well as email addresses to either the Mailing List or Mailing Blacklist
Mailing Manager
Create:
Allows the user to send a newsletter
Mail Groups:
Allows the user to access SmartLists
Send:
This is a legacy permission and no longer in use.
Promotion Manager
View:
Allows the user to access the Marketing > Promotion Manager page
Edit:
Allows the user to edit existing promotions
Add:
Allows the user to create new promotions
(must also have Edit permission enabled)
Delete:
Allows the user to delete existing promotions
Orders
View:
Allows Orders > Order List to be viewed.
Individual Orders can also be opened and viewed.
Edit:
Allows the orders to be edited. Must also be used with the Update permission.
Delete:
Allows the orders to be deleted from the Orders > Order List page.
(Using the Batch Action function)
Update:
Allows the orders to be Updated. Must also be used with the Edit permission.
Edit Status:
Allows the user to edit the order statuses in Settings > General > Store Settings
(Within the General Tab)
Export:
Allows the user to access the order Export/Import page
Phone Orders:
Allows the user to access the Orders > Phone Orders page.
Also allows the creation of Phone Orders.
RMA:
Allows the user to access Orders > Manage Returns
Shipping Label Manager:
Gives access to the "Shipping Label" button when viewing an order
Payment
Tax Manager:
Allows the user to access the Tax Manager page in Settings > Payment.
Online Methods:
Allows the user to access the Payment Methods page in Settings > Payment.
Credit Card Security:
Allows the user to access the Credit Card Types page in Settings > Payment.
Gift Certificates:
Allows the user to access the Gift Certificates page in Settings > Payment.
Group Certificates:
Allows the user to access the Group Certificates button found in the Gift Certificates page via Settings > Payment.
