Use the Home Page Featured Categories Add-On
If you have purchased the Home Page Featured Categories add-on, the following steps will allow you to specify products for display on it.
Marking a Category as a "Home Special Category"
The first step in the process is to make your selected category work as one of the featured categories.
Log into your Shift4Shop Online Store Manager.
Using the left navigation menu, go to Products > Categories.
Select the category you'd like to use and open it by clicking on its name.
Once the category is open, click on the + icon to the far right of the "Category Page Settings section and continue with the next steps:
4. Place a mark in the Home Special Category checkbox located underneath the "Display Type / Category General Products" drop-down.
5. Click Save at the top right.
The category itself is now marked for use on the Home Page Featured Categories Add-On. Your next step is to mark products found within this category as "Category Specials."
Marking the Category's Product as Special
While still viewing the category, look toward the top of the page and click on the Browse Products link for the category. This will display all of the products assigned to the main category.
6. Open up the product you'd like to have displayed as a category special.
7. Within the product's information tab, look to the Options section (next to pricing).
8. Place a mark in the Category Special checkbox.
9. Click Save at the top right.
10. Repeat for the rest of your desired products.
The category's special products will now display on your home page. You may now apply the same actions for any other categories you'd like to have displayed as Featured Category products on your home page.
