Use Quick Search
Enabling Quick Search
To enable Quick Search, log into your Shift4Shop Online Store Manager and, using the left navigation menu:
Go to Modules.
Look for the "Quick Search" module and click on its + icon to expand it.
Place a mark in the Enable Quick Search checkbox and click Save.
Additional Information
Directly below the Enable Quick Search checkbox is a field labeled "Number of Quick Search Items." This field allows you to control how many quick search results are shown in the initial search view. The default number is 3, but you may change this to suit your needs.
Front-end
The built-in Quick Search functionality in Shift4Shop allows visitors to easily find products within your store by displaying product matches as the user types in the search box. So, quick product results are suggested to visitors as they type the keyword.
The keywords used for the search will be gleaned from the product's name, and descriptions as well as product-specific keywords designated for the products individually.
Admin Quick Search
Similar to the front-end Quick Search, the Admin quick search will easily find Orders, Products, and Customers using the improved search for the Shift4Shop Admin panel. A real-time preview of your possible search term will display as you type. Moreover, the quick search function will categorize your search result previews by labeling whether they are products, orders, customers, etc.
